Summary:

This is an interdisciplinary position devoted to ensure proper operation of all aspects of the building to create an optimal, safe, and cost effective. Responsible for the upkeep of the entire casino property; supervises facilities personnel, providing effective leadership and assistance in regards to the completion of the goals and objectives of the facilities department; performs duties in a customer service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer and vendor relations.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for personnel issues, such as: interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, development, supervision, delegations, evaluations and disciplinary actions; will perform these functions in a timely manner.
  • Prepares staff schedules, including the scheduling for required training according to business needs.
  • Implements work procedures for the facilities department, including issuing written and oral instructions.
  • Perform routine field inspections of the casino property.
  • Budgeting- complete an operating plan, financial reviews, analysis of plan versus actual expenditures.
  • Respond to service calls in efficient manner.
  • Prepares departmental paperwork and any reports in regards to the department and company needs.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Investigates and resolves patron complaints regarding customer services issues.
  • Ensures compliance with all departmental, company, gaming, state and federal laws, policies, procedures and any other applicable rules and regulations; will also help to enforce all required safety codes.
  • Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate departments/vendors to ensure minimal guest interruption.
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize in response to changing circumstances and function in a fast paced environment.
  • Project management and oversight of various aspects of Casino resort property. Including planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery and buildings.
  • Implements work procedures for the maintenance department, including issuing written and oral instructions.
  • Prepares departmental paperwork and any reports in regards to the department and company needs.
  • Work with city, state, & federal regulatory personnel and agencies to stay current and comply with regulatory issues, building codes, safety requirements, OSHA, TOSHA, EPA, etc
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a casino environment.
  • Minimum five (5) years of maintenance experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years directly related experience in multi-use commercial building of 50,000 sq. ft. or larger.
  • Knowledge in repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windows based programs.
  • Ability to maintain company and employee information confidentiality.
  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid Washington State Drivers License.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently bend, squat and reach.
  • Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
  • Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather condition, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
  • Occasionally works near or around electricity.
  • Occasionally works near or around mechanical moving parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
