The Communications Coordinator is responsible for planning, creating, and executing communications via advertising channels, creatives, and public relations. They must have exceptional public speaking and writing skills. The Communications Coordinator must work well under pressure and have a keen eye for detail. Must have the ability to multi-task and have project management skills. The Communications Coordinator should also be creative, self-motivated, and be able to move through projects quickly. Will assist with the development and implementation of a successful, full-scale advertising and communications program for 12 Tribes Colville Casinos.

 Essential Functions:

  • In-depth understanding of common marketing and advertising best practices
  • Works closely with the Marketing Manager for communication objectives, strategies and to ensure accurate media channel optimization tactics are in place to positively impact casino revenues, increase brand awareness and brand recognition
  • Takes the initiative to research and obtain necessary data to make informed decisions
  • Coordinates the final communication between the Marketing Manager and key-role players to ensure timelines are met, creatives reach outlets, and advertisements are free of errors
  • Execute digital marketing strategy to increase online user impressions, followership and any other KPI deemed necessary
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the primary website, ensuring website content meets patron needs, legal and ethical standards
  • Responsible for maintaining email accuracy and is free of errors, links work, and content connects to the website
  • Responsible for collaborating and maintaining the digital channel, including SEM, SEO, and other digital strategies targeting the right consumers while adhering to budget constraints
  • Responsible for charity and sponsorship donation content generation
  • Adhere to the company’s brand identity in all channels; logo, imagery, fonts, color etc.
  • Manages invoicing for all advertising to ensure budget reconciliation matches for Marketing Manager approvals in a short timeline
  • Assist with crisis management response(s), and Press Release(s) in a timely and professional manner for executive approvals
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players on all necessary platforms
  • Will be the connecting party between guests/patrons and the executive team to solve customer service issues
  • Read, respond, and encourage positive reviews on various review-based websites (TripAdvisor, Yelp, Facebook, Google+, etc.)
  • Exceptional ability to think and write in a compelling, creative way with engaging communication skills is a must
  • Supervise Graphics/Multimedia: conceptualize and communicate requested creative collateral and revise, edit, and proofread content to ensure strict brand compliance
  •  Utilizes analytics tools to assess trends and activity on communication platforms
  • Review performance data and analytics of communication platforms and recommends changes in plans or strategies to optimize conversions
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Associates degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or closely related field and four (4) years of marketing, public relations, interactive marketing, web design and/or interactive advertising; OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position is required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Experience with Web CRM Systems preferred
  • Must have excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Position requires attention to customer service, comments, posts, and reviews on-demand which requires availability that includes variable hours, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, events and promotions
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess and maintain a valid non-gaming permit
