Salary Grade: $19.53-$26.42 DOE

The Promotions Coordinator will plan, develop and coordinate promotions, tournaments, marketing activities, and special projects that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the casino’s target customer as well as maximizing revenue and return on investment. The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for all communications to internal departments for supportive needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategically plans exciting promotions that increase revenue for all (3) three properties to ensure proper saturation and minimal overlap; maintains ongoing promotional calendar
  • Performs research and prepares proposals for theme, format, and budget specifications; assist with proofing of advertising materials
  • Requests all graphic and advertising needs to ensure timely communication of all activities
  • Develops and applies policies and procedures for all guest promotions and submits for approval
  • Inputs all promotional schedules, rules, prizes, tags, etc. into CMP system while ensuring the upmost accuracy
  • Facilitates the procurement and purchase of promotional items and/or promotional gifts
  • Source and acquire vendors and resources that support the operational and budgetary needs of the department
  • Displays collateral in conjunction with marketing team on the gaming floor for advertising purposes
  • Communicates progress via online task management system
  • Attends promotions and marketing activities to ensure compliance and create excitement via onsite coordination
  • Oversees the training of promotions to ensure the highest quality experience for our guests; develop action plans/teams in conjunction with site staffing, e.g. Players Club
  • Prepare and circulate promotional reports, summaries, and promotional fact sheets to all departments
  • Tracks expenses, winner’s name and account numbers in an organized manner and sends data to be analyzed for performance review; communicates results to management
  • Will provide ongoing cost benefit analysis and return on investment for all major programs
  • Will monitor the competition by consulting newspapers, trade journals and other publications to learn about contemplated promotions, social functions and activities of competition
  • Build relationships and meet with other department directors and managers as necessary

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Associates degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field preferred and 3 or more years of experience in corporate promotions and/or special events, direct casino experience required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the abilities to fulfill the position
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • A strong sales background is desired
  • Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of Casino Marketplace, Novari, Basecamp, Monday.com, Dropbox
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office software including Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must be exceptionally organized and detail orientated while ensuring all timelines and schedules are met
  • Exceptional ability to think and write in a compelling, creative way with engaging communication skills is a must
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet or exceed established timelines
  • Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player and work effectively with coworkers and management
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windows based programs
  • Must be able to travel at short notice to other properties
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and qualify for company’s insurance
  • Must possess a current and valid Tribal Gaming License
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays
