The Events Coordinator is responsible for creation, executing and managing all casino and amphitheater events. Effectively manage, track, and report on all aspects of events, while providing support to the overall management team. Coordinate and develop marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and action assignments related to casino and amphitheater events.
Create and maintain ongoing schedule of events calendar for both internal and external tracking purposes
Maintains awareness of changes in the target markets that may impact the nature of competitive planned events
Develops contacts at area attractions to keep abreast of events in the market
Coordinate the preparation for involvement in community events; plan community outreach events and represents marketing team in activities off-site
Assists with coordinating all function spaces (amphitheater, lounges, casino floor, etc.); develop BEOs for events and entertainment needs in coordination with Group Sales
Performs research and prepares proposals for theme, format, and budget specifications (i.e. volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, etc.) for events; assist with proofing of event advertising materials
Prepare and review event agendas and confirm all services and necessary preparations are in order including reviewing contract riders and other technical documents, draft addendums, assist in negotiations, make entertainment recommendations and assist in successfully creating and executing events
Oversees the execution of all events to ensure the highest quality experience for our guests; develop action teams in conjunction with site staffing (Groups Sales, Facilities, Promotions, etc.)
Work with talent buyer to manage arrangements for transportation, rooms, food and beverage, dressing, hospitality, and green rooms for property booked entertainers
Requests, prepares, and handles payment for property booked entertainers
Work with ticketing system to create and manage venue layout, ticket print outs, pricing structures, pre-sales, ticket holds, marketing holds, comp/artist blocks, etc.
Must be competent in Audio/Visual equipment set-up, care and maintenance
Will be responsible for scheduling sound technician(s) on an as needed basis
Will be responsible for attending and coordinating sponsorship/community events, and evaluating opportunities
Prepare and circulate entertainment reports, summaries, and entertainer fact sheets to all departments
Coordinate the activities of team members, subcontractors, and vendors as required to successfully execute events while communicating and establishing an effective working relationship with all operating departments
Conduct pre and post event meetings with team members
Communicates progress via online task management system
Must be exceptionally organized and detail orientated while ensuring all timelines and event schedules are met
Ensures control/protection of company assets
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
Must be at least 21 years of age
Associates degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field preferred and 2 or more years of experience in corporate promotions and/or special events, direct casino experience required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the abilities to fulfill the position requirements
Supervisory experience preferred
Strong public speaking abilities and stage presence
Must be able to pass a public speaking test that expresses a grasp of concept, time management, and overall competency
Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet or exceed established timelines
Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills
Must be a team player and work effectively with coworkers and management
Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience

Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windows based programs
Must possess a current and valid Non-Gaming permit
Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to bend, squat and reach.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
