Salary Grade: $13.74 Reports To: Sweet Shop Supervisor FSLA Classification: Non-Exempt Closing Date: March 24, 2021
The (Sweet Shop) Counter Server is responsible for assisting customers and processing sales of Sweet Shop merchandise, including espresso beverages and tobacco sales. Exceptional customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable shop environment is expected.
Greets customers in accordance with casino standards. There is no exception. Quality customer service is expected at all times.
Record tips from credit card and comp customers.
Prepare or serve specialty coffee or other beverages, serve food such as baked good or sandwiches to customers.
Maintains stock and inventory in an orderly and accurate method.
Assists customers in the selection and purchase of merchandise; provides customers with product information.
Performs cashier duties and prepares revenue deposit by balancing register at end of shift.
Assists with marketing promotional needs assigned to department.
Works with public to resolve customer service complaints and/or other disputes.
Willing to work under pressure completing multiple orders in a timely manner and correctly with a positive attitude.
Promote PAC programs and card membership.
Complies with applicable federal, state and tribal rules and regulations within the department.
Ability to maintain company, employee and patron information confidentiality.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
High School Diploma or GED.
Barista experience preferred.
Must be able to obtain a Washington State Food Handler’s Card.
Demonstrated customer service experience required. Must possess excellent customer relations and customer service skills.
Ability to handle cash and give proper change by balancing register at end of shift.
Ability to work closely with others as a team with a positive and friendly attitude.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current and valid Tribal Gaming License.
Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or reach.
Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
