Supervises the bar and night club; provides effective leadership and assistance in regards to accomplishing the department goals and objectives. Provides quality service to casino patrons in a professional, efficient and profitable manner, which promotes superior staff, customer and vendor relations. May also act as a decision-making authority when appointed in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
Directs day to day service operations of the bar and/or club by working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager.
Assists with personnel functions, such as: interviewing, hiring, orientation, training development, supervision, delegations, evaluations, and disciplinary actions; will perform these functions in a timely manner.
Prepares staff schedules, including the scheduling of any necessary employee training.
Maintains labor and cost controls to obtain monthly and yearly budget goals.
Manages all stock and product issues, including ordering products/supplies, inventory control and equipment maintenance. This will include completing a monthly inventory process.
Will prepare daily and weekly cleaning work lists for staff members.
Prepares daily weekly, monthly and annual paperwork and any reports according to department and company needs.
Ensures quality and quantity control.
Investigates and resolves patron complaints regarding customer service issues.
Ensures compliance with all departmental, company, gaming state and federal laws, policies, procedures and any other applicable rules and regulations; will also enforce all required health and safety codes.
Maintains company, employee and patron information confidentiality.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or special events.
Knowledge and Abilities:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
At least two years management experience in a high volume bar or full service restaurant with bar required.
Certified bartending training preferred.
Must be able to obtain a valid Tribal Gaming License.
Must be able to obtain and possess a current and valid Washington State Food Handler’s permit.
Must possess a current Class 12 permit.
Must be able to obtain and possess a current ServSafe certification.
Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training
Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to occasionally bend, squat and/or reach.
Occasionally works near or around electricity.
Occasionally works near or around mechanical moving parts
Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
Occasionally exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
Occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke.
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
