Cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual dining setting; performs duties in a customer service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer and vendor relations.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs prep work, fry cooking, baking, sautéing and buffets.

  • Prepares food on a daily basis as needed and/or required.

  • Keeps preparation area neat, clean and sanitized.

  • Keeps walk-ins and storage areas clean and safe.

  • Helps store and organize products when they arrive.

  • Applies the first-in/first-out procedure (properly rotating new and remaining inventory).

  • Helps plan daily special for lunch and/or dinner.

  • Demonstrates portion control and other cost effective measures.

  • Completes daily cleaning checklist.

  • Performs work duties in a professional manner.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Minimum one (1) year of food industry experience, preferably in a line cooking atmosphere.

  • Must be able to obtain a valid Tribal Gaming License.

  • Must possess a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card.

  • Must have good English skills, including: grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and reading abilities.

  • Maintains company, employee and patron information with confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

  • Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.

  • May be exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended lengths of time.

  • Must have mobility to lift and move various types of products.

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
